Barrydale is renowned for its small-town charm and a mix of Karoo atmosphere and Overberg energy. This all comes together in the Barrydale Karoo Lodge, a venue that tries to capture all of those traits.

It does this while still offering various accommodation options. These range from simple rooms to extravagant suites. All of this while also offering other creature comforts. There is also a bar and restaurant close at hand. 

Barrydale Karoo Lodge: The accommodation

There are eight bedrooms to choose from at this establishment. Furthermore, depending on what you choose, you can get a room with a queen or single bed. Of these rooms, two are set up for physically challenged customers.

In addition, they serve breakfast and, because the lodge isn’t staffed 24/7, you get a key. Hence, you can come and go as you please, which in turn means you can explore the local nightlife.

Also, rooms are set up with necessary comforts. For instance, there is free wifi, a coffee station and a free-standing fan for those hot Barrydale summer days.

What to do outside the lodge

Additionally, there are an array of on-site and off-site activities to do in the vicinity. In fact, many of them are walking distance away. For example, there is a bar called The Workshop Bar, and a restaurant called The Windpomp Restaurant.

Furthermore, there are lawn bowls, mountain biking and hiking opportunities, and onsite there is also a splash pool. This is another comfort for those hot days in summer.
