The Olivedale & The Gardenshack: Seafood and Wine Pairing is an event that is aimed at pairing fresh seafood dishes with local wines.

The event takes place on 1 May 2022, at the Olivedale Cellar, the same establishment which will be providing the wine for the parings.
The seafood and wine experience with Olivedale & The Garden Shack

The Garden Shack restaurant will provide the seafood and serve it in five tapas-style courses.
This Swellendam restaurant has a seafood menu with everything from hake platters to prawns, calamari and curried mussels, the last of which will feature at the event. Additionally, it has a sushi menu which is popular with visitors.

Each meal course will be paired with a different wine, from Olivedale Wines, situated in Buffeljagsrivier. In fact, this winery has built a reputation based on unique wine creations.

Indeed, they even call these products “alternative, superior wines” and make them by mixing various wine grapes to create vino named Syrah, River Secrets and Mystique Mountain among many more.
Furthermore, recognised wines like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Rosé are also part of their product line. Additionally, for more info on their products visit the Olivedale Wines website.
