Dear Colleague, Councillor, Community Member,

I have tabled my resignation this morning (31^st May) to the Mayor, effectively giving notice as prescribed in my contract. This will in all likelihood be the last time I address you and would therefore like a few more minutes of your time than would be the norm.

As you know this matter has been under consideration for some time. A number of factors contributed to my decision. Having received no salary increase for the last 3 financial years I find myself financially worse off than when I started in 2017. This is through no fault of the municipality. It is therefore no reflection on the many good people with whom I have had the pleasure of working.

I would like to take a moment to thank some people very specifically if I may.
