The Swellendam Municipality is happy to announce the appointment of its new Director of Infrastructure Services, Brian Neale, as of 07 November 2022.

A civil engineering technologist by trade, Brian hails from Kwa-Zulu Natal (KZN) and started his career as a Consultant in the Construction sector in 1992. His local government experience includes having filled Area, Project and Senior Engineering Management roles at the eThekwini Municipality as of 2010.

Brian has honed his career to align with his passion for hydraulics and waste water management, a skill the Swellendam Municipality intends to make great use of.

Brian prides himself on having mentored engineering graduates and sees his time at local government as a form of pouring skills back into communities. He is accompanied by his wife and yorkie with his move to Swellendam.

On behalf of Council and the administration, Municipal Manager Anneleen Vorster, wishes Brian Neale well with his tenure at Swellendam Municipality.
