Notice is hereby provided in terms of the stipulations of the Swellendam Municipal By-law relating to the Management and Administration of Immovable Property, 2018, the Asset Transfer Regulations, 2008 and the Land Disposal Policy, 2018, read with the stipulations of Section 14 of the Local Government: Municipal Management Act 2003 (Act 56 0f 2003), as amended, that the Municipal Council, in principle, approved the alienation of the following Municipal property in Swellendam:
- a portion (± 1078 square metres) of Erf 8313 in the Industrial area, Swellendam – to Mr J.H. Castleman (owner of Erf 4710); and
- a portion (± 614 square metres) of Erf 8241 in the Industrial area, Swellendam – to Mr W.S. Tromp (owner of Erf 4691)
A closed tender process will be followed at a reserve price of R137.75 per square metres, excluding VAT. The portions will be subdivided and consolidated with the adjacent properties, after the necessary land use processes has been finalized.
Interested persons are invited to submit written comments/objections to the undersigned by no later than Monday, 5 December 2022 at 12h00. Comments/objections can be lodged manually at Swellendam Municipal Offices, 49 Voortrek Street, Swellendam, 6740 or posted tot the Municipal Manager, PO Box 20, Swellendam, 6740.
