Notice is hereby provided in terms of the stipulations of the Swellendam Land Disposal Policy, 2018 and the Asset Transfer Regulations, 2008, Municipal Finance Management Act 2003 (Act 56 0f 2003), as amended, that Council, has in principle, approved the lease of a portion of Alice Street in Swellendam, with the following conditions, to:
Proposed Lessee: Die Sneeubal Trust
Lease period: Three (3) years
Rent: R1.96 per square metres, per annum (VAT excluded)
The applicant undertakes to construct a suitable access road to Erven 9510 and 9511 and a fence, at his own cost, within six months of his signed contract. They also undertake to maintain the road and the mentioned area. No permanent structures may be erected on the leased area.
Objections/comments must be in writing and must reach the undersigned not later than Monday, 6 March 2023, at 12:00. Objections/comments can be delivered by hand to the Municipal Offices, 49 Voortrek Street, Swellendam, or may be posted to the Municipal Manager, P.O. Box 20, Swellendam, 6740.
