Notice is hereby given in terms of Swellendam Municipal Policy for the naming of streets in the Railton 950 Housing Project. In accordance to the policy members of the public are hereby invited to give suggestions for the names of 10 new streets in the above development.
The naming of streets is of utmost importance to the Municipality to ensure the delivery of services, billing and also for emergency services. Street naming must be dealt with in such way that it promotes social cohesion.
The template for suggestions can be found at the under mentioned offices, once completed returned and place in the Notice Box provided.
Suggestions for new streets names must be submitted on or before 28 April 2023 at the following offices:
- Swellendam Municipal Offices, 49 Voortrek Street, Swellendam
- Swellendam Public Library, Stasie Street, Swellendam
- Railton Public Library, Reisiebaan Street, Swellendam
- Community Services Offices, Reitz Street, Swellendam
Persons who are unable to write, but who would like to make an input, are invited to visit the aforementioned Municipal offices, where an official will assist with transcription.
