PUBLIC PARTICIPATION FOR THE FIRST 2023-24 IDP REVIEW OF THE 5-YEAR IDP (2022-27)

Notice is hereby given in terms of the stipulations of Section 21 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000 as amended, requires Municipalities to involve local communities and role players with their IDP planning processes and to promote participative democracy.

Notice is hereby given that the Swellendam Municipality, has adopted a 2023-2024 DRAFT INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT PLAN (IDP) REVIEW in line with Section 34 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, Act 32 of 2000, at a Council meeting on the 30 March 2023, Item A44/30/03/2022.

The municipality gives feedback on the current and planned municipal projects in the area. The approved 2023/2024 Draft IDP Review will be advertised for public comment/input until 05 May 2023 on the municipal website, www.swellendam.gov.za. Community members that cannot write or read may contact the IDP Officer, Doreen Jonas (028 514 8500 / djonas@swellendam.gov.za) for their inputs.
