Pensioners’ and Disability Rates Rebates are applicable to the following income brackets:

• 65% Rebate on rates if household income is R4 501.00 or less
• 55% Rebate on rates if household income is between R4 501.00 and R5 500.00
• 45% Rebate on rates if household income is between R5 501.00 and R6 500.00

• An applicant may only own ONE (1) property in the Swellendam Municipality
• Applicants must currently occupy the property
• The total household income must not exceed R6 500.00 per month
• Applicants must be at least 60 years of age, retired or in receipt of a disability grant
